After 25 years of being away from running I came to my seenss 1 year ago today. In my early 40's I was running 10k's every weekend and logged in 1000 miles between age 42-43. I quit running and my weight went out of control. At 5' 7" I reached 338 lbs before I tried to run again. This has been a great year. I started walking as far as I could daily and started running after 4 months. My first 5k was Thanksgiving day and I knew I was hooked once again. Six 5k's,one 10k and one 1/2 marathon later I now weigh 196lbs. My next goal is a 30 minute 5k and a 2:30 minute 1/2 marathon. My doctors have all released me from all medications and use me as their 68 year old poster boy. Gotta run!
