Just get an empty external case and move the hard drive itslef to the new case. Easy as that!I get cases at NewEgg.Com and MacSales.Com most of the time since they are a lot cheaper than Best Buy or Fry's.It's so simple you will love it! You DO need a screwdriver though. Take apart the broken external, undo the 2-4 screws that hold the hard drive to the chassis, plug it into the new case, put in 2-4 screws to hold the HDD to the chassis, close the case, plug it in! Boom! The only thing you need to know is the size of your hard drive (2.5 inch or 3.5 inch) and the connection type (ATA, IDE, or SATA). Then you know what the case needs to support. I wasn't able to find your model number on the WD home page, but it should be in the paperwork that came with the drive, or you could email Support at Western Digital. Once you know the specs (ie, 3.5 drive, SATA) you can start shopping for a case that fits that drive.Good luck!
